Gemma Strachan is a multi-disciplinary artist commonly known as illustratinggems. Strachan uses paint, drawing, ceramics and research to explore themes of nature, feminism, history and everyday life in her London Studio. 
She is currently working on a research project focusing on the Medieval and beginning of the Early Modern Period, exploring the use of artwork, symbols and jewels in depicting and protecting womanhood at this time.
